Product Manager

About the role:
Due to the company's continued growth, an exciting new opportunity exists for a talented individual to join Synnex NZ as a Product Manager on a full time basis, reporting to the Sales and Marketing Manager. Your main responsibilities include:

  • Stock planning / strategic forecasting to ensure constant stock availability while keeping inventory turnover ratios healthy
  • To be active and strategic in new product selection
  • Working with vendors to ensure smooth deliveries and providing calculated estimation of arrival dates
  • Initiate ABC analysis, create product portfolios and project future products
  • Working with vendors to ensure valuable information is exchanged so that all products are competitive in the market
  • Setting up pricing strategy for all products to ensure maximum profitability while staying competitive in the market
  • Working with vendors strategically to create marketing promotions, with the goal in mind to create positive stimulation to the competitive market
  • To analyse market trends and create and implement market activity to capitalise on the trends.
  • Achieve product revenue budget
  • Analyse competing products on features and price
  • Controlling inventory level and turnover rate
  • Creating relationships and developing good rapport with all key customers in both Retail and Channel resellers
  • Regular contact with category managers or procurement team of each key reseller in differing levels to ensure seamless execution of their goals
  • Constant dedication to customer relationships, resolving issues in a timely manner, providing suggestions and strategies with resellers to ensure our goals and interests are always aligned
  • Ensure that targets are achieved i.e.; weekly targets, monthly targets, quarterly targets.
  • Deliver product training with the assistance of vendors to ensure that the sales department have the relevant information and knowledge.
  • Facilitating vendor initiatives, either directly through Synnex or indirectly through vendor managed resellers
  • Facilitating indirect claims and promotions from a vendor-reseller perspective
  • Regular meetings / conference calls for strategic discussions as well as information sharing
  • Helping the vendors to communicate to the Synnex sales team regarding product knowledge, promotions, competitive analysis and SPIFs
  • Weekly and monthly reporting to all vendors
  • Initiating and management of all vendor related claims

 

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum of two or more years experience in a similar role, whether it be through another ICT Distributor, Vendor, or Reseller. Dealing with IT products and engaging with IT resellers
  • A degree within an IT field would be highly regarded
  • Ability to read, analyse, and interpret general business periodicals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Medium to strong Excel spreadsheet skills
  • Strong business and marketing acumen.
  • Proven track record in achieving results within a service industry environment.
  • A strong presence and presentation skills with excellent communication and people skills.
  • Ability to consult with clients, identify their needs and provide a tailor-made solution.
  • Confident sales ability and is able to build effective business relationships.
  • Hard working and reliable

Business Development Representative

About the role:

Due to the company's continued growth, an exciting new opportunity exists for a talented individual to join Synnex NZ as a Channel Account Manager / Business Development Representative, based in Auckland, East Tamaki on a full time basis, reporting to the Commercial Business Manager. Your main responsibilities include:

  • Managing and growing channel accounts within your portfolio
  • Building and maintaining relationships with new and existing IT-Reseller customers
  • Initiating/facilitating new business for all products under Synnex portfolio within your customer base
  • Strategic visitation + phone engagement with customers
  • Hitting your monthly sales / active customer / proactivity based KPIs
  • Systematic visitation reports and valued-added information about your customer base

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Experience in a similar role, whether it be through another ICT Distributor, Vendor, or Reseller. Dealing with IT products and engaging with IT resellers
  • A degree within an IT field would be highly regarded
  • Strong business development skills
  • Ability to proactively identify and develop business opportunities in current & new market segments and develop relationships accordingly

Internal Account Manager

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing and growing channel accounts within your portfolio
  • Building and maintaining relationships with new and existing IT-Reseller customers
  • Processing customer orders and advising them of current company specials and promotions
  • Updating customers with back order product arrival information
  • Taking customer phone calls and handling them in a professional manner
  • phone engagement with customers within your customer portfolio
  • Hitting your monthly sales / active customer / proactivity based KPIs

Key skills for this position would be highly regarded:

  • A degree within an IT field and/or sound technical background of IT products
  • Excellent knowledge of how to use a PC including Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong attention to detail and a genuine passion to do the best you can and make customers feel valued and happy
  • Experience in a similar role, whether it be through another ICT Distributor, Vendor, or Reseller. Dealing with IT products and engaging with IT resellers
